Shakespearean Tarot

by Michael Kucharski

Red Feather

William Shakespeare’s work penetrates and reveals the human mind, heart, and soul, firing the imagination so that we may easily see ourselves within his cast of characters. In this extravagant deck of 78 Tarot cards with accompanying guidebook, striking images and card meanings are perfectly matched with the Tarot using Jungian archetypes from Shakespeare’s most famous plays. All of us are Hamlet. We have all at one time or another found ourselves trapped like a fly in amber by indecision and in need of guidance. Discover through meditation, introspection, and the reading of Tarot how to learn about yourself, understand self-control, and make the best choices by revisiting iconic stories invoked through Shakespeare’s strong influences for over 400 years.Includes cards and book.

Although I respect the work that went into making this deck, it isn’t a deck that I would use or collect.  As with many tarot decks, they are not always a good fit.  I will share some images with you and you can decide for yourself.  The quality is great.  Red Feather is Shiffer so you are getting Schiffer quality.  This is a “small box”,  no magnetic closure and no ribbons holding the lid.  The guidebook is black in white with gray scale images.

I chose not to scan these images…pirates and all…as you can see there is a white border that goes around all of the card faces.  In all honesty, I did not try to read the guidebook. The text is way too small for me to read.  If you love Shakespeare, you will probably want to have this deck in your collection.  I know there is probably valuable information in the guidebook about how these cards were created.  Please also keep in mind that I’m not a big Shakespeare fan and I’m probably missing the point with this deck.
