Paulina Cassidy is the artist and author of the Paulina Tarot, Joie de Vivre Tarot, The Faerie Guidance Oracle and Witchlings Deck of Spells.

The Paulina Tarot is a stand-alone deck packaged with a mini-booklet. The mini-booklet features an introduction to the deck by Paulina, as well as a description of each card, the straight and reversed meanings. The Celtic Cross spread is also in the mini-booklet. The cards measure 4 ¾” by 2 ¾” and fit neatly within your hands.

The artwork features faeries, mermaids, fantastical creatures, flowers, and trees. It follows the Rider-Waite version of Tarot with the Major Arcana, Wands, Cups, Pentacles and Swords. Unlike some authors, Paulina has not removed the Death or the Tower cards from the Majors. The Pips clearly feature the number of Wands, etc. so that there is no confusion.

Each of the Majors is clearly discernible and features muted colors. The intricate detailing on each card offers extra insights into the Major card while reading and delights the eyes. The High Priestess card features a crowned and robed Priestess surrounded by bare trees, two spirits, an octopus and two wasps. Eight eyes peer out of her cloak, with the crescent moon at her feet and a full moon above her head. This card embodies spirit communication, ancient wisdom and higher learning.

Some artists place a lot of extras in their Majors and leave the Minors kind of bland. Paulina does not skimp on the detailing of the Pips. On the Two of Pentacles, a clown juggles the pentacles while balancing on a galloping unicorn on the beach with waves crashing down. Sea horses watch them go by. The clown seems to have a butterfly hat and the unicorn’s plume seems to be a wing of a hawk.

The Court cards also have these special touches. The Queen of Cups features a crowned queen holding a cup. The fantastical ocean dress that she wears features jumping fish, a turtle and seashells.

The Paulina Tarot offers you unique fantasy art that offers you a deep portal to your intuition, whether you are reading for yourself or for your client. That is what Tarot should do – deepen your intuitive abilities and leading your journey of discovery. You will enjoy this discovery while browsing the artist’s details on these cards.

Paulina’s whimsical faerie art caught my eye five years ago and spoke to my soul. I fell in love at first sight with the artwork in the Paulina Tarot and had to buy it immediately. The Paulina Tarot is still my very favorite deck to work with.

Paulina Cassidy’s decks and art are available at stores nationwide, on Amazon and at her website http://www.paulina.ws.
